How to Measure for Formalwear

Bust

Measure across the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape straight and snug across your shoulder blades.

Waist

Measure around the narrowest point of your natural waist (typically 1 to 2 inches above your navel).

Hips

Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest curve of your hips and buttocks.

Hollow to Hem

Measure from the hollow center of your collarbone straight down to the floor wearing your planned event heels.

Pro Styling Tip: Formal and couture gowns have minimal stretch compared to everyday apparel due to interior boning, lining, and structured fabrics. We strongly advise selecting your size according to your largest measurement. It is significantly easier for an alterations specialist to tailor a gown down than to let it out.
